General responsibility<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer is responsible for the conduct and safety of all persons attending the event or activity and for the care of the Hall, its fabric and contents during the period of hire.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must be aged 18 or over and present for the duration of the booking.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>2. Insurance<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Trust holds insurance for the building and its general use as a community facility.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Private, one-off social hires (e.g. parties, meetings, community gatherings) are covered under the Trust\u2019s insurance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Children under 14 are not covered unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Hirers running organised activities, commercial events, classes, or events open to the public are required to hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Trust reserves the right to request proof of insurance where appropriate.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>3. Licences and permissions<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer is responsible for obtaining any licences required for their activity.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Alcohol must not be sold, supplied, or consumed on the premises without prior agreement from the Trust and, where required, the appropriate licence or Temporary Event Notice.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>4. Safeguarding and children<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Children must be supervised at all times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Where activities involve children under the age of 14 without their parents or guardians present (e.g. clubs, classes, organised events), the Hirer must ensure appropriate safeguarding measures and insurance are in place.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>5. Capacity<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The maximum permitted capacity of the Hall is:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">100 standing<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">50 seated<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This must not be exceeded.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>6. Fire safety and emergencies<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must familiarise themselves with fire exits and evacuation procedures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Emergency exits must be kept clear at all times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In the event of a fire or emergency, the Hirer must:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">ensure the safe evacuation of the building<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">call 999<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">report the incident to a Trustee as soon as practicable<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Assembly point: front of the building.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>7. Prohibited items and activities<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The following are not permitted inside the Hall:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">candles or naked flames<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">smoke machines or anything likely to trigger fire alarms<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">portable electric heaters<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">smoking or vaping inside the building or directly outside entrances<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>8. Electrical equipment<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Any equipment brought into the hall must be safe and suitable for use.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Where applicable, equipment should be PAT tested.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Trust cannot accept responsibility for damage or injury arising from equipment provided by the Hirer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>9. Noise and consideration for neighbours<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Hirers must be mindful of nearby residents and ensure noise levels remain reasonable.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Music must cease by 11pm.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Where events are likely to generate noise, Hirers should periodically check sound levels outside.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>10. Use of the premises<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Nothing may be fixed to walls, ceilings, or fittings without prior agreement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">supervise use of the premises<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">prevent damage<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">ensure appropriate behaviour from attendees<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\">\u00a0<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>11. Accidents and incidents<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Any accidents, injuries, or near misses occurring during the hire must be reported to the Trust and recorded in the accident book where possible.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>12. Bouncy castles and inflatables<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Use of bouncy castles or inflatables must be agreed in advance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must ensure:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">supplier safety certification<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">appropriate insurance<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">safe supervision<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Maximum internal height: 2.1m (7ft).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>13. Heating<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Heating is pre-set to provide a comfortable temperature. If the Hirer feels the temperature is uncomfortable for any reason, they may adjust the heating controls for the duration of their booking.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must ensure the heating is reset to the pre-set temperature and not switched off completely when leaving the premises.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>14. Opening, closing and security<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">A Trustee or representative will normally open the Hall.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">At the end of the hire, the Hirer must:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><ul><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">leave the Hall clean and tidy<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">remove all rubbish<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">report any damage or breakages<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">ensure doors and windows are closed<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Locking arrangements will be confirmed at the time of booking.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>15. Cleaning and damage<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hirer must leave the Hall in a clean and tidy condition.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Any damage must be reported. Costs for repair or replacement may be charged.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>PAYMENT &amp; CANCELLATION<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>16. Hire fees<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Hire fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Regular hirers may be invoiced monthly.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The hire period includes set-up and clear-down time.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>17. Deposits<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">A refundable damage deposit may be required.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Children\u2019s parties: \u00a325<\/span><br \/><span lang=\"en-US\">Adult parties: amount advised at booking<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Deposits will be returned following inspection of the premises.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>18.
